In Kind Direct

Crimsonwing has recently completed the In Kind Direct project, which entailed implementing a new eCommerce platform, based on Magento Enterprise, and updating the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009. However, the core of the project was the integration between those two platforms, in order to guarantee real-time communication between the two.

Crimsonwing combines deep knowledge of both platforms and was also able to offer Crimsonwing Connect - the new add-on integrating Magento and Microsoft Dynamics NAV seamlessly. This enables real-time communication between the different technology breeds. The Connector assures that the system is able to provide quick responses and batch processing requirements of stock, customers and credit balances, addresses, orders and registrations/renewals and much more.

In Kind Direct's Head of IT, Neil Chawla commented that “Crimsonwing had already delivered several NAV 2009 implementations and upgrades, and excellent references were available. The Magento product was clearly the strongest eCommerce solution for Navision offered by any of the potential suppliers seen. Although In Kind Direct is not a conventional retailer and has specific operational processes and restrictions, it was impressive how quickly and easily our bespoke requirements were incorporated into the new system. The development team always managed to deliver exactly what was required without compromise."
