Convergence EMEA 2015 Booth 5 - KPMG

Session Summary: Analyze Data in Real Time – An Overview of ‘SOFY’

SOFY Overview - KPMG at Convergence

KPMG’s real time cloud analytic platform, SOFY, provides real time business insights based on the analysis of transactional data from Microsoft Dynamics. For the first KPMG presentation at Convergence this year, we had a pretty great turnout!  With over 120 attendees, it was the busiest media wall session of the day.

Key Takeaway from the Session:

Face-to-face consultancy is not always required for your business process optimisation but this can also be achieved with the right tooling. The right tooling such as SOFY doesn’t require much time to implement. It’s a standard technology solution that is ready to use yet can be customized and tailored for your own business needs.

Keynote: Business Transformation = Modernising Your Mindset (and Your Toolset), Plus Updates to CRM 2016 & Skype for Business

A great keynote included Jean-Philippe Courtois, President of Microsoft International, and Chris Capossela, EVP and Chief Marketing Officer, discussing the necessary elements of digital transformation.

We also got a taste of pending product updates including developments to CRM 2016 and Skype for Business.

  • A joint study with Forrester uncovered that while 94% of surveyed businesses claim to have a digital strategy, most aren’t truly embracing digital transformation of their operations. Doing so successfully involves seeing digital transformation as a team sport – ensuring that CEOs are aligned with IT and the business is defined around customer outcomes and success.
  • Becoming a digital organisation involves modernizing your toolset (and your mindset). Shift the focus from systems of record to systems of engagement. It’s up to us collectively to harness the power of the cloud and big data to harness “systems of intelligence.
  • CRM 2016 is now available! We’ll have an update on our favourite features shortly.
  • New developments in Skype for Business make it easier to start calls (no more 12 minute waits!). The updated solution also fosters collaboration by allowing attendees to co-author Office documents during a call.  In addition, a new technology called Skype Meeting Broadcast allows organisations to broadcast a meeting to up to 10,000 other Skype end points.
