KPMG Crimsonwing is organising a Dynamics 365 event titled ‘Reinventing ERP on the cloud’ on May 5 2017, at the Microsoft Innovation Center. The central themes of this event – growth and change – go hand-in-hand in today’s technology-dependent business environment.
In anticipation of this event, we speak with Stephen Abela, Director at KPMG Crimsonwing, to discuss the changes witnessed in today’s business environment and the opportunities that these changes are creating.
KPMG Crimsonwing is an established Independent Software Provider in the local market. How is the market evolving?
Malta is going through an economic growth and more foreigners are attracted by the prospect of working and living here. The increase in economic activity and population is putting greater demand on all types of businesses in terms of the volumes being catered for, the size and complexity of new projects, and the diverse requirements of clients. In order to support this growth, companies are investing more in robust and world-class IT systems that can support their growth whilst maintaining control.
What do you think are the biggest opportunities for businesses in Malta?
Businesses in Malta have an opportunity to take their operations to the next level of quality to improve the general living conditions of both locals and foreigners. There is also an opportunity for all companies to think with an international mindset and start offering their products and services to other markets. Technology is definitely one of the key drivers to improve the quality of services and to reach new markets.
How is KPMG Crimsonwing positioned to serve such needs?
KPMG Crimsonwing has been serving international clients for the past 19 years, so it has the necessary experience and mentality that can support companies that want to grow and think beyond our shores. We are now offering the latest ERP and E-commerce solutions on the Cloud from leading technology vendors such as Microsoft and Magento. The adoption of Cloud solutions, or software as a service, is an important step for businesses as it relieves them of maintaining their own infrastructure and allows them to focus on their core business. Software on the Cloud is also kept updated continuously with new features from the vendor itself, thus companies need not worry about big upgrade projects as was the case with on-premise traditional solutions. Local progressive companies are already embracing Cloud as an enabling technology, and we are very pleased to be working with them on this exciting journey.
