Whilst these are not conventional metrics, they do tell the story of monumental growth that TGIF has experienced in 2016 – a year in which the business opened new 7 stores, launched a new business concept, and transformed their finance function.
They credit their supplier community for helping them to reach these goals – something that they celebrated at the recent supplier party where KPMG Crimsonwing was honoured to be presented with the award for Finance Business Partner of the Year.
The award was granted for our work on TGI Friday’s implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 - the cloud-based ERP solution and first-ever European deployment of its kind. KPMG Crimsonwing’s Pascal Kreukniet (Functional Lead) and Davinder Lewis (Account Manager) were on hand to accept the award.
Working together, KPMG Crimsonwing and TGI Friday’s overcame much of the traditional pain of new systems by involving the client’s team from the beginning, and by bringing in new, more efficient processes rather than trying to adapt the new technology to existing ways of working. The result is a system that is designed to speed up reporting, gives management deep, accurate and up-to-the-minute insights into all its restaurants’’ performance. TGIF is also saving considerable costs, by automating the reporting process, and through more reliable forecasting, which helps to reduce stock levels and schedule resourcing needs more accurately.
