This year’s Drupa has been an amazing experience and KPMG Crimsonwing is very happy to have had the chance to be a part of it. Once again, the exhibition has been filled with innovative surprises and has enlightened a path full of entirely new horizons for the Print industry with “huge leaps within the production technology arena” according to Gavin Tye, our Print Specialist on site.
The dominating themes at Drupa were automation, packaging printing, digital printing, hybrid technologies, web-to-print applications and environmentally sound printing. Flexibility and cost efficiency were also crucial topics of the 2012 show of what is now the world’s most important and largest B2B trade fair in its sector. For Gavin Tye: “With both innovation and hype hand in hand, it will be interesting in to see in four years’ time just how much further some of the concepts have progressed.”
With 314,500 visitors coming from 130 countries, Drupa has been a nest of great networking opportunities and as always, it has been a pleasure to meet again with all the people from the industry, curious to see and discuss what the future of Print holds. 190,000 foreign visitors have also made the journey to Dusseldorf to attend the show and be a part of this international dynamic.
KPMG Crimsonwing, attending as the exclusive UK PrintVis partner, particularly enjoyed Drupa’s UK day on the 13th of May, and proudly displayed Union Jacks and decorations across the stand in the spirit of the Queen’s Jubilee and the Olympics.
Combining hard work with good fun, the PrintVis stand was also the place to be to see a first-hand demo of Microsoft Dynamics NAV and PrintVis now available on the Kinect console. This now allows you to literally work hands free and get stuck in!
