Chris Buhagiar has been a Magento Developer at KPMG Crimsonwing for over 4 years, and has followed the development of our expertise in Magento since the company’s very first Magento project. It thus came as no surprise when he successfully took the latest Magento Front End Developers certification – well done Chris!
This new certification comes on top of his existing Magento Developer Plus certification, extending his deep understanding of Magento to full back end to front end knowledge. “Studying for the exam has made me aware of a couple of technicalities which I didn’t know about and which I will be able to make use of in future projects” says Chris.
Front End developers work closely with Back End developers to optimise websites’ user experience by implementing new features or customising existing ones. Their main focus is to produce the best website navigation possible for customers, from landing to payment and exit page. Therefore, to achieve the Magento Front End certification, candidates are required to answer a series of 65 multiple-choice questions to demonstrate a thorough understanding of Magento’s theming components and the ability to modify the user interface according to best practices.
“What I enjoy the most about being a Magento developer is the variety of my tasks. Sometimes you need to code a functionality which requires certain logic, other times you need to implement design and work on the presentation aspect of a site.” says Chris.
As one of the largest Gold Magento Partners in Europe, KPMG Crimsonwing makes it an absolute priority to provide its teams with all the training they require and can now account for twenty-three fully certified Magento developers. So again, congratulations Chris!
