First Maltese Speech Synthesiser developed by KPMG Crimsonwing

KPMG Crimsonwing published a detailed article about one of the latest projects – the first ever Maltese Speech Synthesiser.Speech Synthesisers exist in various languages and are of particular value for partially sighted people as well as for people with other disabilities. However, a synthesiser for Maltese language doesn’t exist yet. This Maltese Speech Synthesiser transforms text into audio speech format and therefore eliminates the need to read or write. KPMG Crimsonwing won the tender for this great project, which is co-financed by the EU and the Maltese government, in spring 2010 and we are delighted to be able to work on this challenging and highly interesting project.

KPMG Crimsonwing has published a longer, more detailed article about the Maltese Speech Synthesiser. To find out more about this project, please read on here!

As time passes – we have now also released an updated news item about the latest developments around the Speech Synthesiser.
